H2S Alive

This is an Energy Safety Canada program. H2S stands for Hydrogen Sulphide. This specialized course has been developed for oilfield workers who may be exposed to it. This is an oilfield industry standard course.

Generally, the class runs from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, however end times may vary. This course is also beneficial to anyone entering manholes to work with sewage/wastewater, underground cabling etc., refineries, rail and tanker repair and is mandatory for those in the upstream petroleum industry.

Experiential learning is employed through a variety of strategies including discussion, guides/manuals, overheads, group projects, air quality testing and emergency breathing equipment. Legislated requirements under OH&S are met, after completing the training course and exam participants will be able to apply the knowledge and skills learned. Laminated wallet size certificates are issued after successful completion of the course. Certificate valid for three years.
