Respiratory Fit Testing
It is critical that a worker who is required to wear a respirator be properly fitted for his or her mask. The fit-testing process involves selecting the correct size and type of respirator (mask) for each worker and ensuring that he/she knows how to don, use, and care for their mask correctly. Armour provides cost effective on-site qualitative Fit Testing which complies with the relevant regulations and CSA standard.
Ergonomics Assessments
Section 81 of Saskatchewan’s OH&S Regulations, 1996, requires employers to identify and review activities that may aggravate musculoskeletal injuries (81.1), provide effective protection for workers at risk (81.3), provide instruction in safe work performance, appropriate work practices, procedures, equipment and PPE (81.4) and, identify causes and take corrective measures (81.5[b]).
Armour’s ergonomic assessments are conducted by a certified Ergonomics Specialist. Work methods, work stations, worker posture, and tool design are areas analyzed. Assessments can be conducted in office and industrial settings. Each assessment comes with recommendations for eliminating or decreasing the risk(s). Further service includes making the recommended adjustments and providing training for workers.
